Construction of a sports ground for the Lchkadzor village school
The objective of the project is to promote sports activity among Armenian youth by building a sports ground for the school.
The schoolyard is currently covered with gravel. It is planned to cover the floor with resin bound with a layer of 10 to 25 mm depending on the unevenness of ground.
The village of Lchkadzor is located in the Tavush region. It has 390 inhabitants who are mainly farmers. The village is located 208 km from Yerevan, capital of Armenia, and 3.5 km from the border with Georgia.
The only school in the village has only 91 pupils, 46 of whom are girls and 45 are boys. Due to the absence of a gym, physical education classes are organized in the schoolyard, which has been built thanks to the efforts of parents, teachers and other villagers. Unfortunately the schoolyard is not suitable for sports activities.
