Life has a peculiar way of testing our strength and resilience. In the face of hardship, some people rise above their circumstances, demonstrating that the human spirit is unbreakable.

This is the inspiring story of Christine, a remarkable woman who transformed her life and those of her children after tragedy struck, all thanks to a women’s empowerment project that believed in her potential.

Left alone with her two young children in Ijevan, Christine daily faced the daunting task of rebuilding their lives to struggle to make ends meet.

With a state allowance and a part-time job at a kindergarten, every day was a challenge.

However, Christine remained steadfast, determined to create a better future for her children.

She learned about the Australian government’s Direct Aid Project women’s empowerment project to support women whose husbands were killed and disabled during the 2020 war by supporting their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Inspired by the opportunity, Christine developed a small business idea in cosmetology, an area she had always been passionate about.

The women’s empowerment project recognized Christine’s potential and believed in her dream.

With project financial support and guidance, she attended training sessions, learned valuable skills, and began to work.

When we talked to her, we felt her resilience and unwavering determination to transform her life and inspire her children, showing them the power of perseverance and hard work. With her genuine connection with clients, she does her work passionately and strongly believes that it will pay off and that she will have financial stability soon.
