The Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development and the Arev Society launched a new project to empower women to ensure the financial sustainability and economic inclusion of women facing the hardships caused by the war’s aftermath.
With State allowance and part-time jobs, many women understood that if they didn’t acquire new professional skills, their attempts to meet ends or reach self-sufficiency would fail.
The project’s capacity-building training on entrepreneurial skills explains to future candidates that they can step into traditionally male-dominated fields or become business owners.
Moreover, they understand they can create a more inclusive environment where women’s contributions are valued and respected.
After individual meetings and need evaluation, the project staff set up a practical roadmap for creating an income-generative activity in the fields they were passionate about but have yet to afford or dare.
Partners consider that Empowering women through vocational training and small business creation is a moral imperative and a strategic investment for society’s progress.
